Something about vampires draws us in. They're scary, yet somehow seductive and intriguing at the same time. Many, many books have been written about vampires since Bram Stoker set it off with "Dracula" in 1897. (Dracula's just a young pup at 106 next to Frankenstein at 170, but we love him just the same!) Anne Rice made vampires enormously popular again with her "Interview with the Vampire" and other vampire novels featuring the Vampire Lestat. Laurell K. Hamilton hit another audience with her Vampire-hunting Anita Blake mystery/ suspense-type novels. There are novels upon novels about vampires coming out every day, and each one is better than the last. So pick up a new vampire book today and sink into the darkness.
